Roy landed his dream job at the RSPB back in 1970. He originally lived on site at the Lodge Sandy until the family relocated from Bristol. He had some of the best times employed there and enjoyed the social life that came with the job. He was a lifelong supporter of the RSPB and never lost interest in wildlife and birds.
